Quantum Exhibition
Muse
Muse, 2023

An exhibition that builds and deconstructs the discoveries of physics.
To understand and experiment with the changing behavior of matter and light, through a journey from the certainties of classical physics to the paradoxes of quantum physics and the resulting innovations.

my contribution
For this exhibition, I was responsible for the design, development, and realization of an interactive installation dedicated to black holes, conceived to offer an immersive visual, sound, and emotional experience. The installation, also promoted at other venues thanks to collaboration with INFN, allows visitors to intuitively and engagingly explore the concept of gravitational force.Using one or more Intel RealSense sensors, the system detects the presence of the visitor and transforms their body into a galaxy of particles that follows their movements like an interactive mirror. This galaxy is subject to the gravitational attraction of the black hole, visually simulating the phenomena of space distortion and matter accretion: if the visitor approaches the black hole too closely, they get sucked in.The black hole changes based on the number of particles captured: its size increases and the sound environment becomes progressively darker. The visual part was developed on vvvv through Fuse, a library that allows real-time rendering using the Stride 3D engine.
